The Green Energy Save Club, inaugurated at the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of Chirala Engineering College, will educate the common public at Chirala and its surrounding places on the pollution free energy sources and encourage them to utilise the non conventional sources of energy, announced the HOD Balanagu on Monday.

Dr L Ramesh, additional dean of Dr MGR Educational and Research Institute, Chennai inaugurated the club at the special programme on Monday and explained the students about energy auditing with various practical methodologies. Balanagu said that the department will select 20 students and train them to explain the uses and generation of pollution free electricity.

He said the selected students will create awareness among the common public through various modes of interactive programmes. The college joint secretary Tella Ashok Kumar, principal Syed Kamaluddin and Dept of EEE staff felicitated Dr Ramesh for sharing his knowledge with the students.
