As many as 452 grievances from the general public were received and many redressed on the spot at the \'Mee Kosam\' conducted at the Collectorate here on Monday. 

Anantapur: As many as 452 grievances from the general public were received and many redressed on the spot at the 'Mee Kosam' conducted at the Collectorate here on Monday.

Mee Kosam, the weekly public grievance redressal day, has become popular due to many grievances being resolved on the spot. Among those, who represented to the Collector was a group of youth Raghavendra, Mohanbabu, Fareed and Vinodh, who urged the Collector to fill vacant class four posts in the government offices locally on the basis of GO numbers 28 and 37. Also, representatives of Mahatma Gandhi Colony urged the Collector to establish a government school in their colony where 10,000 residents are living. They also appealed for improving civic conditions including drinking water amenity, roads and drains construction.

A group of women from Lakshminarasimha Swamy Mahila Sangam urged for the Collector's intervention for initiating action against those who forged the sangam functionary signatures and swindled funds. Also, farmers from NP Kunta urged the Collector to arrange for compensation payment for the lands acquired for solar power plant from them. Several other grievances were also received from Raptadu and PK Palle.
