Guntur: Leader of Opposition in the state Assembly, Y S Jaganmohan Reddy on Monday visited Crane betel nut powder founder Grandhi Subba Rao's residence in Guntur city and consoled his son GVSL Kantha Rao and his family members. He conveyed his condolences and sympathy to the bereaved family. Earlier, he paid tributes to the portrait of the Grandhi Subba Rao. He was accompanied by MLAs Mustafa, YSRCP city president Lella Appi Reddy, party leaders K Rosaiah.

It may noted that well-known businessman of Guntur city Grandhi Subba Rao, 87, died of prolonged sickness at his residence here on March 24. He was the founder of famous Crane Vakkapodi which has been ruling roost for the last five decades. After Subba Rao’s retirement in 2013, his son GVSL Kantha Rao took over the mantle of business. Subba Rao also leaves behind four daughters.
