TDP supports amendment to NITSET bill

New Delhi: TDP MP M Srinivasa Rao, here on Tuesday supported the amendment to the National Institutes of Technology, Science Education & Research (NITSET) (2nd Amendment) Bill, 2016 in the Lok Sabha.
Referring to the establishment of a NIT and Indian Institute of Science, Education and Research at Tadepalligudem and Tirupati respectively as promised in the AP State Reorganisation Act, 2014, Srinivasa Rao said the faculty at both these institute should be meritorious.
He urged the Centre to release the necessary funds to establish a fully equipped campus at the earliest. “There should be no room for complacency in imparting the best of education in the country as education alone will lead to real development.
Above all, emphasis should be laid on moral education too, as knowledge alone would not help an individual or a country to make real progress. Wisdom was essential to impart right moral values among all sections of the society including bureaucrats so that they respect everyone in the society and render service to the society conscientiously,” he averred.
