Hyderabad: Rayalaseema appears to be turning really hot with the highest day temperature of 41 degrees Celsius recorded at Anantapur, Kurnool and Nandyal, while Kadapa and Tirupati had a high of 39 degrees Celsius during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Wednesday.

The Met department renewed its warning that the maximum temperatures will continue to be above 40 degrees at isolated places in Rayalaseema for the next three days. The department bulletin said the day temperatures would also continue to be above normal by two to three degrees Celsius in the region.

According to the bulletin, the other day temperatures in the two regions of the State were: Jangamaheswarapuram 39, Nandigama 38, Arogyavaram, Vijayawada 37 each, Kavali, Nellore 36 each 36, Kakinada, Ongole, Tuni 35 each, Bapatla, Machilipatnam, Visakhapatnam Airport 34 each, Kalingapatnam, Narsapur 33 each and Visakhapatnam 31. Dry weather prevailed over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the last 24 hours.

The day temperatures were normal in the coastal districts and above normal at a few places in Rayalaseema. There was no large change in the night temperatures at one or two places in both coastal and Rayalaseema regions during the last 24 hours.
