Malaysia is all set to establish a fourth generation tech park in Andhra Pradesh focusing on new technologies through the application of industry best practices involving clean-tech, biotechnology, connected digital platforms, big data, robotics and additive manufacturing.

New Delhi: Malaysia is all set to establish a fourth generation tech park in Andhra Pradesh focusing on new technologies through the application of industry best practices involving clean-tech, biotechnology, connected digital platforms, big data, robotics and additive manufacturing.

This MoU was signed in the presence of the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and the Malaysian Prime Minister, Mohd Najib Bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak at the Hyderabad House here on Saturday. CEO of Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board, Krishna Kishore and the MD of MIGHT Technology Nurturing Sdn Bhd (MTN), Faizul Abd. Mallek inked the MoU.

Cluster 1 of the proposed tech park is expected to generate income for paddy farmers through application of latest biotechnology and clean technology.

While the AP Economic Development Board has been established with a mission to promote sustainable economic growth through investments and partnerships in AP, the MTN is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT) will provide full consultation in the areas of feasibility, planning and development of the park in addition to bringing in initial technology.

The park will initially cover 250 acres and will be experimenting with new standards in park management primarily in the areas of environment and sustainability.The phase 1 will commence with a bio-degradable industry cluster in 100 acres, to produce bio-degradable packaging for food and electronic industries. This will involve rural economy by inviting farmers to be partners in progress.
