Tourism centres will be developed through PPP mode, says Akhila Priya
Minister for Tourism Bhuma Akhila Priya said that the state government has decided to construct star hotels and movie theatres at Bhavani Island and Punnami Ghat under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode to develop tourism in the Sunrise State.

She visited Bhavani Island, Punnami Ghat here on Wednesday for improving tourism activities. Addressing the media at Bhavani Island, the Minister said that she would develop all tourist centres in the State with commitment and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was laying stress on promoting tourism activities.
“The state government has planned to attract middle class people towards tourist places for spending their holidays. The Tourism department is focusing on improving greenery and landscape in Bhavani Island,” she added.Akhila Priya said that she would visit all tourist centres in the State. Tourism department would provide all services at Bhavani Island and the state government was planning to construct movie theatres at different tourist places in AP.
She said that the state government would develop Bhavani Island, Punnami Ghat and other tourist places for attracting tourists from entire district to the capital city. The government would give incentives to private companies for developing tourist centres in the state under PPP mode.She opined that the other political parties may not field their candidates for the bypoll to Nandyal Assembly constituency caused due to the demise of her father Bhuma Nagi Reddy.
