Union Minister for Urban Development M Venkaiah Naidu presented HUDCO awards to CRDA Commissioner Cherukuri Sreedhar on Tuesday in New Delhi on the occasion of HUDCOs 47th foundation day. The CRDA won two national awards. It has won the award for implementation of the ‘Voluntary Land Pooling Scheme at Amaravati’ under urban governance category
Vijayawada: Union Minister for Urban Development M Venkaiah Naidu presented HUDCO awards to CRDA Commissioner Cherukuri Sreedhar on Tuesday in New Delhi on the occasion of HUDCOs 47th foundation day. The CRDA won two national awards. It has won the award for implementation of the ‘Voluntary Land Pooling Scheme at Amaravati’ under urban governance category. It has also won the award for implementing innovative ideas in formulating best plans for urban infrastructure.The APCRDA acquired around 32,000 acres in Amaravati through land pooling scheme for building new capital city. Sreedhar said that the national award was in recognition to sacrifices made by farmers who parted with their lands under land pooling scheme.
