Cops inspect women's hostels
The city police officials conducted surprise inspection of 38 women and girl\'s hostels in the city between April 12 and 16 to check the implementation of rules and regulations of hostels, including security and peaceful atmosphere.In a press release here on Wednesday
Vijayawada: The city police officials conducted surprise inspection of 38 women and girl's hostels in the city between April 12 and 16 to check the implementation of rules and regulations of hostels, including security and peaceful atmosphere.In a press release here on Wednesday, Commissioner of Police D Gautam Sawang said that most of the hostel managements were running hostels without getting proper permissions from the departments concerned in the city and all hostel managements should get permissions from all departments within 15 days.
“Police would conduct inspections in women, and girls hostels to check the implementation of norms for the protection of women and girl students, he added.He said that women hostel managements should appoint women warden, women security guard and should install CCTV cameras on the hostel premises.
