Vijayawada: Nine persons were injured three of them seriously when a cooking LPG cylinder went off at Hanuman Tiffin Centre at Gandhi Centre in Nandigama on Saturday. According to police, the cylinder blast took place at 10.30 am due to leakage when the customers were present on the premises. The seriously injured were identified as Pasupuleti Narasimha Rao, R Subba Rao and Shaik Gouse and were shifted to a private hospital at Gollapudi near Vijayawada.

Six persons sustained minor injuries and treated at the local hospital and discharged later. Nandigama tahasildar and local police visited the accident site and started the probe.
