Atmakur (Kurnool): Srisailam legislator Budda Rajasekhara Reddy has laid emphasis on bringing out the latent vocational skills among women and imparting them relevant technical knowledge for their financial empowerment. Speaking after inauguration of a sewing training centre at the Little Flower Educational society premises here on Monday, the MLA said that the sewing centre was inaugurated to provide vocational training to women in remote hamlets of Nallamala forest region to encourage them to take up self-employment. He desired that women should avail the training facility to become nationally-renowned fashion designers.

Referring to Muslim minorities prevalent in the region, he assured them to provide bank-linkage loans to the trained women and help them set up their garments making units and market their products. Stating that the TDP government has soft-corner for minorities, he noted that the TDP would allocate special funds for the development of the Muslim minorities. He called upon women to make better use of the sewing centre.
