Vizianagaram: Telugu Desam Party has postponed the announcement of the new district president as they are unable to come to a conclusion on the issue and left the decision to the high command. Actually the district senior leaders like Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Incharge minister of this district Ganta Srinivasa Rao,

minister for mines RVSK Ranga Rao and others have discussed this issue and aken the opinions of the other district members regarding the new name of the president. They discussed up to evening but couldnot finalise the right candidate for the post and just left the issue to the high command of the party.

As of now D.Jagadish, MLC belonging to Parvathipuram is working as the district president for the past few years and he has been facing corruption allegations too. So the party high command had decided to select a new one as a president.
K.Konda Babu, K.Appala Naidu(MLA of Gajapathinagaram), Sobha Hymavathi, some others are in the race and expecting the blessings of the party leaders.

But the top leaders have met here and discussed the issue and recorded the opinions of every leader and sent it to the high command. Later Ganta Srinivasa Rao told that the high command will finalise the suitable person and will be announced on 24 May, on Mini Mahanadu. If the high command feels that there is no clarity in our report, it may go for Interactive voice response system(IVRS) to get more clarity.
