Name Bhogapuram airport after Simhadri Appanna
Members of Sri Simhadri Appanna Prachara Samakya, Madhurawada, met Union Civil Aviation Minister and Hereditary Trustee of Simhachalam temple P Ashok Gajapathi Raju during latter’s visit to Mahanadu and submitted a representation pleading him to use his good offices in naming the airport coming up at Bhogapauram as Sri Simhadri Appanna International Airport’.

The members apprised that Simhachalam temple of Lord Sri Varaha Lakshmi Nrusimha Swamy is very famous and popular not only in the state, but also in other neighbouring states , including Odisha and no project was so far named after the Lord. The Minister assured to look into it. The members, who met the Minister, include Sanapala Narayana Swamy, Chowdary Kalyan Kumar, G V Ramana, Sanapala Ramana, S Dhanunjaya Swamy, N Ravindra Kumar, S Ramesh Kumar and S R K Swamy.
