AP Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) has suggested authorities of Gram Panchayats in capital city area to adopt new methods to maintain sanitation as the area is being transformed as world class capital city.

Vijayawada: AP Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) has suggested authorities of Gram Panchayats in capital city area to adopt new methods to maintain sanitation as the area is being transformed as world class capital city.

The CRDA conducted a meeting in its office here on Friday with panchayat secretaries. Additional commissioner V Rama Mohan Rao suggested the secretaries to post the daily sanitation details in Whatsapp group which would be especially created for monitor sanitation in capital city area villages.

He said the responsibility of monitoring of sanitation was entrusted to some private agencies but the result was not good. “Garbage and plastic waste should not be appeared along the roads. Garbage has to be collected in the form segregation as wet and dry waste. Hotels and business establishment must take care of hygiene conditions at surroundings” he said.
