Industrial zone in Kovur for women: N Amarnath Reddy
Industries Minister N Amarnath Reddy said the government would set up an industrial zone spread over 50 acres in and around Kovur shortly for encouraging women entrepreneurs. Addressing the gathering Nava Nirmana Deeksha at Kovur on Tuesday, the Minister said the government has plans to start a university between Tirupati and Nellore for developing professional skills among youngsters.
Nellore: Industries Minister N Amarnath Reddy said the government would set up an industrial zone spread over 50 acres in and around Kovur shortly for encouraging women entrepreneurs. Addressing the gathering Nava Nirmana Deeksha at Kovur on Tuesday, the Minister said the government has plans to start a university between Tirupati and Nellore for developing professional skills among youngsters.
He said the state government is very keen on girl child education and hence cycles were distributed to them. He lamented that the state had lost important and crucial educational institutions due to state bifurcation. Amarnath said 517 MoUs were inked during the last three years and employment provided to 2.4 lakh people.
The Minister further said region would witness progress with two proposed industrial corridors and informed that there would huge potential for growth of food processing industries. MLC Beeda Ravichandra, Kovur MLA P Srinivasulu Reddy, senior officials Vasundhra Devi and Madhusudan Rao and others were present.
