Vijayawada: Boy killed after tree falls on him

A 12-year-old boy succumbed to death in Vijayawada after a tree fell on him in the early hours on Tuesday.

The incident occurred in the Satyanarayanapuram colony when the boy, identified as Harsha was on his way to a nearby shop to purchase a milk packet on a bicycle.

A tree which was eroded from inside fell on the boy with a sharp-edged branch cutting into his throat killing him on the spot.

The family members of the boy are shocked with the incident and are inconsolable.
