Amaravati: Taking strong exception over the opposition parties levelling remarks against the auction of AgriGold assets, Andhra Pradesh Planning Commission Deputy Chairman C Kutumba Rao said that the government has nothing do with the auction process as it is all going under the supervision of the AP High Court.

Speaking to media persons at Secretariat on Thursday, he said the state government is only a facilitator to provide the required support to agency investigating the case as ordered by the High Court.

He sought those making baseless allegations that the government is resorting to malpractices in auctioning can approach the High Court and submit the evidence. ``In fact, the High Court praised the state government for creating e-auction portal with high security features for auctioning the assets.

But, if anyone is having any objections, they can knock the doors of the High Court,’’ he said. Referring to the demand of CBI inquiry into the AgriGold case by the opposition parties, he said as the case is being investigated under the supervision of High Court, it is better for those seeking CBI to take the appeal to the Court.

Stating that it was the High Court and not the state government, which ordered CBI probe into the disproportionate assets of the YSRC chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, he wanted the opposition parties to raise their objections before court.
