Hindupur (Anantapur): Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas has claimed that the government is extending expensive health care to common man in private corporate hospitals.

Participating in the inauguration of Primary Health Centres (PHCs) in Hindupur, Mudigubba and Tadimarri mandals built at a cost of Rs 1.18 crore each and in the inauguration of a 150 bedded hospital in Hindupur, Srinivas said that the scheme received awards from centre and was hailed as the best scheme.

With the launching of the 150 bedded air-conditioned hospital, the town hospital will have 250 beds including the already functioning 100 bedded hospital in the same premises.Women and Child Welfare Minister Paritala Sunitha said that Hindupur town is synonymous with former Chief Minister NT Rama Rao and the very name of the town reminds the great leader.

Dharmavaram MLA Gonuguntla Suryanarayana stated that under NTR Vaidya Seva as many as 1,044 patients were treated at a cost of 2.50 crore.
