Centre nod for 30 new road-over bridges in State
Roads & buildings minister Ch Ayyannapatrudu said that construction of 30 new road-over bridges (ROBs) in the state were approved by the Centre. Speaking to media at Jaggampata on Monday, Ayyannapatrudu said that Kasavaram and Samalkot ROBs in East Godavari district were also included in the list.
Jaggampata (Rajamahendravaram): Roads & buildings minister Ch Ayyannapatrudu said that construction of 30 new road-over bridges (ROBs) in the state were approved by the Centre. Speaking to media at Jaggampata on Monday, Ayyannapatrudu said that Kasavaram and Samalkot ROBs in East Godavari district were also included in the list.
He added that efforts would be made for laying bypass roads, besides widening of roads in major cities in the coming two years. “A 400-km-long State Highway connecting Agency areas in East Godavari, Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram districts from Rajamahendravaram will be taken up in PPP mode by the end of this year. DPR is getting ready and this road will help for promotion of tourism in the state,” he opined.Later, the minister laid stone for widening of Jaggampata – Somavaram road.
