Tirupati MLA M Suguna and former Congress MP Dr Chinta Mohan participated in the prayers and greeted the Muslims on the occasion. Suguna said the government is taking up several welfare schemes for the Muslims. She said officials on the instructions of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu have distributed Ramzan tohfa for the Muslims ahead of their festival.

Chinta Mohan wished the children belonging to Muslims and exhorted them to pursue higher education in order to reach higher positions in the society. He also said that banks should come forward to give loans to Muslims which will help poor and unemployed. He called the state and central governments to extend all cooperation to minorities.
