Sports university to come up at Amaravati
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday felicitated and presented Rs 50 lakh cash award to badminton player Kidambi Srikanth, who has recently won Indonesia and Australia Super Series badminton titles.

Vijayawada: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday felicitated and presented Rs 50 lakh cash award to badminton player Kidambi Srikanth, who has recently won Indonesia and Australia Super Series badminton titles.
Speaking on the occasion, Naidu said that a Sports University would be set up in Amaravati and best international coaches would come to the university to produce international players.
The Chief Minister announced allotment of 1,000 sq yards house site to the badminton star in Guntur or any other place where he preferred and offered Group-1 job and asked him to play for Andhra Pradesh.
Naidu also announced a cash award of Rs 15 lakh to Indian team chief coach Pullela Gopichand.
