Eluru: Minister for labour and employment Pithani Satyanarayana said that the government has decided to make changes to the current employment exchanges system soon.

He was inaugurating mega job mela organised by Andhra Pradesh Skill Development Corporation (APSDC) SKAKT DR KS Raju Arts and Science College premises in Penugonda village on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was committed to provide jobs to unemployed youth. “Unemployed youth are annoyed with employment exchanges. In the wake of this it was decided to make changes to the present system of employment exchange,” he informed and added that state would be made unemployment-free soon.

“If we create a favourable atmosphere to IT companies, they will establish units in the state and employment opportunities will also increase,” he stated and called upon the youth to develop communication skills to secure employment. Pithani said that mega job melas were being organised in rural areas for the convenience of the youth. He advised them not to bank on government jobs alone but to look forward for self-employment and other professions. About 1900 youth have registered their names in the job mela.
