Crop insurance under Prime Minister Fasal Bima Yojana Scheme

Farmers, who are cultivating paddy, should pay crop insurance premium of Rs 320 per acre before August 21 to insure crops under the Prime Minister Fasal Bima Yojana Scheme (PMFBY). The government will insure the crop for Rs 16,000 per acre under the scheme. If the crop is damaged, it will pay compensation based on the damage.

Similarly, for red gram the farmers should pay Rs 320 premium per acre, crop will be insured for Rs 16,000 per acre. Farmers cultivating black gram should pay Rs 180 premium, the crop will be insured for Rs 9000 per acre. Farmers cultivating turmeric should pay crop insurance premium of Rs 2,400 per acre.
