Train No 22837 Hatia-Ernakulam express leaving Hatia on July 17 will run in diverted route via Jharsuguda, Bilaspur, Nagpur and Ballharsha instead of Jharsuguda, Titlagarh, Vizianagaram.

Visakhapatnam: With the continuous heavy rains followed by floods in Odisha and the flood waters above the danger level, the East Coast Railway has regulated several trains and cancelled some more trains on Monday.

Trains cancelled: Train 12755 Sambalpur-Nanded express leaving Sambalpur on July 17, Train 12756 Nanded-Sambalpur express leaving Nanded on July 18, Train 18518 Visakhapatnam-Korba express leaving Visakhapatnam on July 17, Train 18517 Korba-Visakhapatnam express leaving Korba on July 17 were cancelled.

Diversion of trains: Train No 22837 Hatia-Ernakulam express leaving Hatia on July 17 will run in diverted route via Jharsuguda, Bilaspur, Nagpur and Ballharsha instead of Jharsuguda, Titlagarh, Vizianagaram.

The 12844 Ahmedabad-Puri express which left Ahmedabad on July 16 will run in diverted route via Titlagarh, Sambalpur, Angul, Bhubaneswar, Khurda road instead of Titlagarh, Rayagada, Vizianagaram.

The 13352 Alappuzha-Dhanbad (Bokaro) express passing Visakhapatnam on July 17 is diverted to run via Vizianagaram, Khurda Road, Angul, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda. The 12803 Visakhapatnam-Hazrat Nizamudding Swarna Jayanti express is rescheduled to leave at 18.30 hours instead of its regular schedule 08.20 hours on July 17, Train 08573 Visakhapatnam-Tirupati special express is rescheduled to leave at 22.55 hours instead of its regular schedule at 04.00 hours on July 18.


Diversion of trains: The 13351 Dhanbad- Alappuzha (Bokaro) express leaving Dhanbad on July 17 passing Visakhapatnam on July 18 is diverted to run via Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Angul, Khurda Road, Vizianagaram.

Train 13352 Alappuzha-Dhanbad (Bokaro) express passing Visakhapatnam on July 17 is diverted to run via Vizianagaram, Khurda Road, Bhadrak,Kharagpur, Tata. The 12807 Visakhapatnam-Hazrat Nizamuddin Samata express leaving Visakhapatnam on July 18 will run in diverted route via Duvvada, Vijayawada, Kazipet, Ballarshah, Nagpur.

The train 12890 Yesvantpur-Tata Nagar leaving Yesvantpur on July 17 is diverted to run via Vizianagaram,Khurda Road, Bhadrak, Hijli,Tata Nagar.
Restoration Work begins:

Meanwhile, all the senior officials and engineers of East Coast Railway rushed to the site where the rail bridge washed out on Sunday due to heavy floods near Rayaghada. General Manager Umesh Singh accompanied by Principal Chief Engineer of East Coast Railway rushed to the spot and supervising the relief and restoring works.
