Anantapur: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has called upon the district administration to take timely steps to save standing crops in the context of monsoon failure in the district.

Addressing a video conference of Collectors from his chambers, the Chief Minister called upon Joint Collector Rama Mani to take timely steps to save withering crops by giving protective irrigation to the crops.

He advised the authorities to make use of water sources including farm ponds, village tanks and water tankers. He directed them to take steps for protecting the crop yield. Joint Director of Agriculture Srirama Murthy and others were present.
