The Kapu leader and former Minister Mudragada Padmanabham who decided to launch padayatra on Wednesday from Kirlampudi in East Godavari to AP Secretariat at Velagapudi in Guntur district faced obstruction from the police at the gate point of his residence itself.
The Kapu leader and former Minister Mudragada Padmanabham who decided to launch padayatra on Wednesday from Kirlampudi in East Godavari to AP Secretariat at Velagapudi in Guntur district faced obstruction from the police at the gate point of his residence itself.
High tension prevailed when a large number of supporters gathered at Mudragada's residence. While the police asserted that there is no permission for his padayatra, the Kapu leader who has been staging protests against the AP government for a long time to include the Kapu community in the Backward Classes category was place under house arrest.
Mudragada along with other leaders in Kirlampudi have been placed under house arrest.
