Govt neglecting Vamsadhara displaced, says HRF
KV Jagannadha Rao vice-president of Human Resources Forum (HRF) charged the TDP government with neglecting interests and ignoring rights of Vamsadhara project displaced.
Srikakulam: KV Jagannadha Rao vice-president of Human Resources Forum (HRF) charged the TDP government with neglecting interests and ignoring rights of Vamsadhara project displaced.
He visited displaced villages of the project in Hiramandalam on Saturday. The oustees shared their woes with the HRF members. They spoke about official highhandedness and violation of High Court orders.
The villagers alleged that the officials were trying to dispossess them from their houses forcibly by cutting basic amenities and without heeding to pleas regarding rehabilitation and resettlement (R&R) payments.
Speaking on the occasion the HRF vice president assured the villages that they would fight against government in the court of law to get better deal to displaced people of Vamsadhara. “The government is insulting displaced people who are sacrificing their assets and houses and it is a sad culture on part of a democratic government,” he lamented.
