The Chief Minister conducted election campaign for two days in Nandyal in July last week, he visited the constituency in June too. As YSRC chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy is continuing his campaign till August 21, the Chief Minister has reportedly decided to visit the constituency again and take up rigorous campaign to change public opinion in favour of TDP candidate Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy, according to TDP leaders.

A minister, who is said to have been overseeing financial issues for Nandyal by-elections, met Naidu at Secretariat on Thursday and detailed about the scenario of by-polls. The Chief Minister and the minister also discussed on assurances given to Gangula Prathap Reddy, who is reportedly seeking Nandyal MP ticket. TDP sources say that Prathap Reddy has hold in Gospadu mandal, which may decide the fortunes of the candidates in by-polls.

Meanwhile, seven ministers are working round the clock for the poll campaign. Deputy Chief Minister KE Krishna Murthy, ministers Somireddy Chandra Mohan Reddy, P Narayana, Ch Adinarayana Reddy, Bhuma Akhila Priya, Kalava Srinivasulu and N Amaranatha Reddy are caught up in by-election affairs.

Besides, around 40 MLAs also involved in the various responsibilities. Sources said each MLA was given responsibility of one division in Nanadyal municipality. “The MLAs has to response quickly to the developments that happens in their respective divisions” said a senior TDP leader.

In fact, the TDP started groundwork in Nandyal two months ago and reportedly fulfilled major needs, including infrastructure facilities in municipal divisions. “If one sees our ground work for the last two months, he would have no doubt on TDP’s winning in Nandyal. But some equations are giving sleepless nights to us” said a senior TDP leader of Rayalaseema who came to Secretariat to meet a senior minister.
