Students of Koneru Laxmaiah University had participated in an Anti-Drugs awareness rally which started from Pandit Nehru Bus Station to Dharna Chowk Alankar centre here on Thursday.  

Students of Koneru Laxmaiah University had participated in an Anti-Drugs awareness rally which started from Pandit Nehru Bus Station to Dharna Chowk Alankar centre here on Thursday.

The awareness rally was organised jointly by KL University Educational Foundation, KLU Youth Red Cross, Biotech Engineers Technical Association and department of Bio-Technology. About 200 students participated in the rally raising slogans ‘say no to drugs,’ ‘no drugs – save life.’

KLU students welfare department Dean Habeebullah said that drugs would ruin the lives of any individual and the present youth and students were getting addicted to Ganja and other drugs which are deadly. He further said that usage of drugs was a criminal offence and is punishable. KLU associate Dean Ravindranath along with students and staff participated in the rally.
