MP Kothapalli Geetha said the Central government has come up with seven guidelines to double the income of farmers in five years.
Rampachodavaram: MP Kothapalli Geetha said the Central government has come up with seven guidelines to double the income of farmers in five years.
She was the chief guest at the ‘Navabharat Nirman’ programme held at Krishi Vigyan Kendra in Pandirimamidi on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, Geetha said she would urge the Central government to sanction more funds for Agency areas. She appreciated the efforts of Krishi Vigyan Kendra for development of tribal communities.
She asked the officials concerned to provide required amenities for tribals to sell their produce. She said the seven guidelines would help every tribal family to get a monthly income of Rs 10,000.
Member of Legislative Council Ratnabai, who was present as guest of honour, expressed happiness over the programmes taken up by departments concerned to develop tribal farmers. She asked the tribal communities to avail the irrigation facilities available for them in abundance.
