Burglars arrested, Rs 5 L worth gold ornaments seized
City police arrested two burglars and seized 26 sovereigns (about 208 gram) of gold ornaments near Old Bus Stand.Addressing a press conference at II Town police station here on Wednesday, Eluru DSP G Venkateswara Rao said that residents of Tangellamudi, Yadav Nagar, Balayogi Vantena, Gun Bazaar, St. Teresa’s School area under II Town police station had complained of the burglaries.
Eluru: City police arrested two burglars and seized 26 sovereigns (about 208 gram) of gold ornaments near Old Bus Stand.
Addressing a press conference at II Town police station here on Wednesday, Eluru DSP G Venkateswara Rao said that residents of Tangellamudi, Yadav Nagar, Balayogi Vantena, Gun Bazaar, St. Teresa’s School area under II Town police station had complained of the burglaries.
“CI G Madhubabu began investigation with help of CCS DSP V Satyanarayana and found that Dasari Peter of Pamuladibba in RR Peta and Valluri Satish of Serinarasannapalem village have been indulging in these burglaries. We nabbed the accused near Old Bus Stand and on interrogation, they confessed to the crime,” the DSP stated. The police have recovered 26 sovereigns of gold ornaments worth Rs 5 lakh.
