Western Australia Deputy Prime Minister Roger Hugh Cook disclosed that his government will work jointly with Andhra Pradesh government in the fields of mines, transport, technology, medical and education and assured that his government will encourages the industrialists of his country to invest in Andhra Pradesh state.

Amaravati: Western Australia Deputy Prime Minister Roger Hugh Cook disclosed that his government will work jointly with Andhra Pradesh government in the fields of mines, transport, technology, medical and education and assured that his government will encourages the industrialists of his country to invest in Andhra Pradesh state.

The Western Australian Deputy Premier along with team met Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at his camp office in Vijayawada on Thursday night and had a detailed discussion on the mutual co-operation in various sectors. Both the governments had signed memorandum of understanding on various issues.

On this occasion Cook announced that from this day the sister state relations between both the states are going to be more strengthened. Later they both addressed the media persons and briefed about the meeting details.

Chief Minister Naidu has briefed Cook about the vast natural resources available in the state and about the speedy growth in various fields. He said by 2022 the state will become one of the third developed state in the country and by 2029 it will be the best state in the country. We are striving hard with a vision to make our state as the world`s destination with highest standards, Naidu said. AP has become growth engine for our country, with in a span of three years, he added.

He said that his government is in first place in ease of doing business where all the permissions will be given within 15 days. “All the government services, programmes, schemes, departments are functioning through online in a transparent manner. Our state is getting three industrial corridors and two coastal corridors, where the industrial position of the state is going to be completely changed.

Presently the state is converting as knowledge hub. National and international level institutions like IIT, NIT, IISER, NALSAR, AIIMS and others are already established. Petroleum, Marine and Logistic Universities are also coming up,” Naidu said.
