President Ram Nath Kovind who was given a civic honour by the government of Andhra Pradesh is on his two day visit to the state.

The President visited Tirumala on Saturday to offer prayers. He is accompanied by Governor ESL Narasimhan and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.

Received by the priests, Ramnath Kovind offered special prayers to Lord Venkateswara. Several ministers also accompanied the President during this visit as he completes his AP tour today.

This is his first visit to the shrine after being sworn in as the 14th president in July. Earlier this morning, the president offered prayers at the Varaha Swamy temple and also visited the temple of Goddess Padmavathi at Tiruchanur near Tirupati on Friday before arriving at the hills.
