Prakasam boys runners-up in handball tournament
The Prakasam district boys team stood second in the Andhra Pradesh State 3rd Sub Junior Boys Handball Inter District Tournament, announced district secretary J Koteswara Rao handball association on Monday.

He said that four students from the district are selected for the state team for the national tournament scheduled from September 24 to 29 in Haryana. Koteswra Rao said that the Prakasam team achieved second position in the inter district handball tournament held in G Konduru of Krishna district on September 2 and 3.
Four members from the team, M Kamaraju, K Subbarao, 10th class students, K Brahmaiah, 9th class student from ZP High School in Medarametla and M Kripanithi, intermediate first year student from APSWRS and Junior College in Arthaveedu were selected for the state team to play in the national tournament. The district collector V Vinay Chand and DSDO Yatiraju appreciated the students on Monday in the collectorate and wished them.
