The river water touched the Pushkar ghat steps. Following the heavy inflows into the Krishna river, Vedic pandits performed Krishna Mahalaya Pournami poojas. The Peetadhipathi of Arunachala shrine in Tamil Nadu Tirumalai Sivanandahari visited the Bhujanga Theertham.

He told The Hans India that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was in favour of developing the lone Saraswati Kshetram in Andhra Pradesh and that he would conduct yagam there for ten days. Vedic pandits led by Telakapalli Raghurama Sarma continued the poojas for the seventh day on Wednesday (Mahalaya Pournami), besides Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Sudarshana Homam and Varuna Yagam.
