The woman, Kadiyam Shiva Kameshwari works as a government teacher at Seetharamapuram near Nujiveedu. According to the police, Kameshwari befriended Ashvi Thomson on Facebook and the duo became good friends.

Later, Kameshwari received a call from Elid courier services from Delhi informing her that she received a parcel and asked her to pay Rs 8.5 lakh for charges.
