Visakhapatnam: As many as 251 delegates from 71 countries as well as Ministers from nine countries have confirmed their participation in TECH Conference - 2017, said HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao.

After hosting several global summits, once again Vizag is gearing up for a three-day International TECH (Transforming Education Conference for Humanity) conference which would be organised by UNESCO Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development (MGIEP) in partnership with the state government here from December 16 to 18.

In a preliminary review meeting with the district officials and MGIEP representatives at the Collectorate here on Tuesday, the HRD Minister said, "At a time when Vizag is transforming as a smart city, hosting TECH conference will be good gesture."

Separate stalls would be set up at the conference to propagate about the AP culture, food and artforms among the foreign delegates. Speaking to the media, UNESCO MGIEP Senior Project Officer Abel Caine said instead of designing sinister Blue Whale Game, the same animations and creativity should be used to create an exciting video games to make learning fun.

Executive officer Aruna Chowdary, project officer Mandini Chatarjee Singh, District Collector Pravin Kumar, Joint Collector Srujana, GVMC Commissioner M Harinarayanan, Additional CP Fakeerappa and others were present.
