Vempalle: IIIT Idupulapaya contract lecturers’ protest against suicide of their colleague entered the second day on Wednesday. The protesters said that Nagaraju was depressed as he was not considered for regularisation of his service and took the extreme step at his house on Sunday. 

Nagaraju hailed from Tadepalligudem in West Godavari district. The members demanded an ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh to the bereaved family members and a job to the wife of the deceased. They also demanded the administration to regularise their posts. The contract lecturers said that they will continue the agitation till V-C intervenes into the matter.
