Bnei Ephraim community celebrates Hebrew New Year

The Bnei Ephraim Community in Chirala celebrated the 5778 Hebrew New Year, with the Telugu Israel Community Centre here on Wednesday. As part of the celebrations, the community announced classes to teach Hebrew to the interested Telugu people in Chirala and invited applications for the same.

Yacob Yacobi, representative of the community centre, said that the recent visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Israel strengthened the bonds and relations between the two countries. To learn and study history, culture between the two nations, the Bnei Ephraim Community in Chirala is offering Hebrew language classes, he added.
