Two-year jail term for two thieves

Pithapuram: The Judicial First Class Magistrate K Haribabu on Wednesday sentenced two thieves to two years of imprisonment each.

In a theft occurred at the house of a goldsmith, Maroju Srinivasa Rao, near the Harvest School, gold bangles and rings were stolen by Jakkamsetti Nagaraju of Penumantra in West Godavari district and Guttukonda Pavan Kumar of Guntur district.

The then Circle Inspector, MD Umar, investigated the case and recovered gold ornaments from the duo. The magistrate sentenced the duo to undergo two-year jail term each as they were proved guilty.
