Different dance forms on one platform
A dance programme titled ‘Nrityanjali’ was organised by Sri Vagdevi Kuchipudi Nrityalaya on Tuesday evening at Sri Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music and Dance College. Four dance forums namely Kuchipudi, Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Odissi dances were performed by the artistes from different parts of the country.

Four dance forums namely Kuchipudi, Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Odissi dances were performed by the artistes from different parts of the country.
The spectacular Odissi dance items like Ganesh Vandanam, Mulang Dayanam and Moksha presented by Garima Bhattacharya from Kolkatta. Lakshminarayana Jina from Bangalore had presented Kathak Dance items like Ananda Tandav, Ganesh Vandan, Trinat and received laurels from the audience.
Impressive Bharatanatyam items like Pushpanjali and Alarimpu were performed by Jaykrishnan from the state of Kerala and Vineetha Srinandan of Mumbai. Andhra Pradesh dance forum Kuchipudi was performed by Sri Ramaleela, Rajani, Anjali, and Hasini. The artistes presented the items Ananda tandavam and Jhunuta Sabdam.
In a meeting organised on this occasion the chief Guest Dr D Vijaya Bhaskar, CEO, Andhra Pradesh State Creative and Culture Corporation said the culture of a society will be measured by the living traditional art forums.
He also added that the art forums will be protected by the Government. Penugonda Anjali (Hyderabad) and Chatla Rajani Reddy (Vizag) were presented with the ‘Nritya Priya’ award and Sri Ramaleela, Hasini and Saisri were presented with the ‘Nritya Deepika’ award on this occasion.
