Samskritika Kala Vaibhavam from September 23
Samskritika Kala Vaibhavam, a cultural fete would be conducted in Eluru from September 23 to 26, according to YMHA Trust Board general secretary and KVS Trust Chairman KV Satyanarayana.
KVS Award-2017 will be presented to Veena Murthy Vijay of Bengaluru, who was a disciple of Kuchipudidance maestro late Korada Narasimha Rao, on Sept 26
Eluru: Samskritika Kala Vaibhavam, a cultural fete would be conducted in Eluru from September 23 to 26, according to YMHA Trust Board general secretary and KVS Trust Chairman KV Satyanarayana.
Addressing media at YMHA Hall here on Wednesday, the Trust Board general secretary said that on his 60th birthday, KVS Award -2017 would be presented to Veena Murthy Vijay of Bengaluru, who was a disciple of Kuchipudidance maestro late Korada Narasimha Rao.
The awards function would be held on September 26 at YMHA Hall, he added. The Samskritaka Kala Vaibhavam would start on September 23 with essay writing competitions on Kuchipudi dance.
Later the dance recitals of Kuchipudi, Odissi and BharatiyaYakshaSammelanam, Mohini Attam and Kathak will be performed by artists.
On September 25, the Kuchipudi dance drama Nartana Sala would be performed by Dr Vedantam Ramalinga Sastry.
As part of Dasara festival, the YMHA, KVS Trust and SahityaMandali, Fine Arts Academy jointly conduct “Sahitsotsav” at SahityaMandali building.
The PullabhotlaSrirama Murthy SmarakaSahityaPuraskaramwould be presented to Dr Neti Satyanarayana Sastry and the KV Satyanarayana SahityaPuraskaram to TribhashavadhaniVaddipartiPadmakar, he said. YMHA Trust Board vice President IradalaMuddukrishna, YarraSomalingeswara Rao, SahityaMandalipresident PullabhotlaPurushotham, YMHA members Paladugu Murali Shyam, Kanala Ramesh, KB Rao andPallapothuRadhakrishna also addressed the media.
