He expressed anger at the municipal commissioner and asked him to give explanation to the Chief Minister. He also warned the officials that the government would take action against them on the incident. Participating in workshop on Swachh Survekshan here on Friday, he instructed the officials to complete sterilisation of street dogs across the state.

He lambasted the officials of his department for no improvement on sterilisation of dogs even when he personally conducted teleconferences more than hundred times on the issue. He asked the officials to take steps make Andhra Pradesh top in the county in Swachh Survekshan programme. He complimented the staff for the state bagging six awards last year.

The government had setup a central command centre in Amaravati to monitor sanitation, he said and added that the interlinked centres also would be opened to command control centre in all the municipalities.

He further said the Centre had praised performance of state especially open defecation free programme. The state has completed it almost in three years, he said. The minister also said that Andhra Pradesh is first state in the county to introduce online permissions for buildings.

The officials should be cautious on public service delivery system, quoting the example as when Nara Lokesh had complained to him on the lack of street lighting when he was travelling in the city recently. He asked the officials not to repeat such incidents.

Dr CL Venkata Rao, former Swachh Andhra Corporation chairman, Chandramohan Reddy, Urban Green Corporation, MD and several officials were also present in the meeting.
