Vijayawada: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that more industries should be set up to boost employment opportunities and economy of the state. He said one person from each house should emerge as an entrepreneur.

The Chief Minister launched 75 MSME (micro, small, medium enterprises) engineering units cluster at Veerapanenigudem from A Convention centre in Vijayawada city on the occasion of Dasara on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said after agricultural sector, industrial sector could provide more employment opportunities and stressed the need for using technology to boost industrialisation. He said service sector too plays a key role in development of economy.

The Chief Minister said the MSME’s share in industrial production and export stands at 40 per cent. He said MSMEs are facing marketing problems and assured subsidy to MSMEs in real time. He said the Veerapanenigudem industrial cluster would be developed as model cluster in the state.

The Chief Minister said that the industrial growth in AP stands at 8.05 per cent as against 1.6 per cent in the country. Ministers Amaranatha Reddy, Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao and others were present.
