Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday flagged off thirty Solid Waste Management machines which include waste collecting trucks, road sweeping, drain cleaning machines and tree pruning machines among others in Amaravati. 

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday flagged off thirty Solid Waste Management machines which include waste collecting trucks, road sweeping, drain cleaning machines and tree pruning machines among others in Amaravati.

These machines will serve in Vijayawada and Guntur Municipal Corporations while also being available in Visakhapatnam and Tirupati.

Addressing on the occassion, Chandrababu said that the Andhra Pradesh government is focusing on roads and drainage cleaning for which they have launched the Swachh Andhra Corporation.

Stating that aim to set up greenery and landscape corporation to ensure clean environment, he further said that new machines are being utilized to clean street lights and pruning trees. The Chief Minister announced that 22 lakh toilets will be completed in next six months in the state apart from the LED lights, cement roads and drainages to be provided.
