The EO along with Tirumala JEO Srinivasa Raju has participated in the annual Ayudha puja at Srivari Annaprasadam Complex on Thursday and performed rituals to goddess Durgamatha.

Speaking on the occasion, the EO said that the TTD is serving free meals to Srivari devotees throughout the year. He further said the TTD is distributing the food, milk, tea, buttermilk, pongal, upma, and curd rice to devotees in queue complex and outside the temple premises.

Singhal stated that the donations given by devotees to SV Nithyannadanam scheme is more than Rs 850 crore. Rs 60 crore earned as interest by depositing Rs 850 crore in banks is used for free feeding scheme, he added.

Earlier, the EO inspected the Annadanam complex and observed the functioning of the workers in kitchen and vegetables cutting area and cold storage. He interacted with workers and food suppliers. The EO lauded Annaprasadam staff for selfless service to devotees.

He advised the workers to improve quality in making of food and other items. Deputy EO (Annadanam) Venugopal, catering officer Sastri and other officials were present.
