Villagers seek Tahsildar suspension
A dharna was staged in front of the office of the RDO here on Thursday to place Adoni Tahsildar B Srinivasa Rao under suspension and also the VRO, who supported him in creating pattadar passbooks illegally with an eye on grabbing the lands of Sri Lakshminarayana Swamy temple in Hanaval village of the mandal.
Adoni: A dharna was staged in front of the office of the RDO here on Thursday to place Adoni Tahsildar B Srinivasa Rao under suspension and also the VRO, who supported him in creating pattadar passbooks illegally with an eye on grabbing the lands of Sri Lakshminarayana Swamy temple in Hanaval village of the mandal.
The temple has 49.5 acres of land under Survey No 14 of Hanaval. Similarly, there are temple lands under the Survey No 196 in Ganekallu. In Dayyalagudda village, temple lands are located under Survey No 45. Similarly, in Narayanapuram village, the Endowment lands are listed under Survey No 61.
The Tahsildar issued pattadar passbooks to grab the temple lands. The demonstrators submitted a memorandum to the RDO. Residents of Hanaval village, various village leaders like D Chandranna, KT Chandrakumar and G Mohana Babu took part in the protest programme.
