Krishna top in revenue generation
Krishna district stood first in revenue generation as it earned an income of Rs 8,471.87 crore between April and September 2017. Visakhapatnam secured second rank recording earnings of Rs 6,842.35 crore.

Vizianagaram district stood at bottom with an income of Rs 364.46 crore. The Chief Minister on Monday reviewed with different departments the district-wise revenue generation till September. He exhorted officials to focus on control of expenditure as it was not a good sign to the economic health of the State.
The officials explained to the Chief Minister that revenue earning departments realised Rs 25,834 crore recording a growth of 13.26% per cent. Forest department has recorded highest growth rate of 143.63 % by earning revenue of Rs 64.19 crore.
But the department stood in the last place when compared to the revenues of other departments. The Commercial Taxes department earned Rs 18,090.84 crore registering a growth rate of 9.03 % while the stamps and registration department earned Rs 2,024 Cr with growth rate being 1.48%.
