- Says that despite the State facing financial crisis, it is achieving progress in different sectors under the able leadership of Chandrababu Naidu
- Points out that Naidu during his earlier stint as CM developed Hyderabad city and he is now making similar efforts to develop Amaravati
- Hails interlinking of rivers
Speaking on the occasion, Renuka hailed the measures taken by Naidu for the development of Hyderabad city in united Andhra Pradesh. She said the Chief Minister was now making similar efforts to develop Amaravati post State bifurcation.
She further added that she was impressed with the interlinking of rivers in Andhra Pradesh and leaders from Maharashtra and other States also hailed the move. Renuka said the State has been making rapid progress in different sectors under the able leadership of Naidu despite facing severe financial crisis.
Speaking on the occasion, Naidu said Renuka was keen on joining the TDP to contribute to the development of the State. He said that any leader who wanted to work for development is welcome to join the TDP and he would encourage them.
Interestingly, Deputy Chief Minister K E Krishna Murthy, a native of Kurnool district did not take part in the meeting with the Chief Minister along with Renuka. Sources observed that Krishna Murthy was expecting Kurnool Lok Sabha seat for one of his family members.
However, later the Krishna Murthy in a press release said he could not attend the meeting as he was busy attending pre-scheduled programmes in his native district. He said he would welcome the entry of Butta Renuka into the TDP.
He warned that he would not spare anybody who spread false news against him on media and social networks. “Some news channels aired reports stating that I was unhappy with the joining of Renuka in TDP, which is certainly wrong. I will work in coordination of Renuka," he stated.
Meanwhile YSRCP leader K Parthasarathy alleged that the TDP gave Rs. 70 crore to Renuka to encourage her to defect into their party. He flayed Chandrababu Naidu for allocating Cabinet berths to defected leaders.
