1.5 crore banned notes seized

Vijayawada: The Task Force police arrested one person and seized Rs.1,50,14,000 banned notes at Moghalrajpuram on Wednesday. Central Zone ACP N Satyanandam and Task Force ACP Muralidhar produced the accused Valluri Satyanarayana of Kakinada before the media.
Satyananadam said the accused is a money lender and contractor and possessed Rs.1.50 crore worth old notes of denomination of Rs.500 and Rs 1000 and came to Vijayawada with a view to exchange. On a tip-off, the police nabbed him at Moghalrajpuram, said the ACP.
